Yeah! I finally finished the last of the
“Phoenix Rising Trilogy”! I was very happy with the way Erica Verrillo writes,
because everything (as usual) was very visual in her descriptions. The only
things I have against it would be the fact that the beginning was slow going
and it was the last book of the trilogy. :)
Elissa is finally at home, as a princess, but
her life is not a fairytale. With the preparations of running a kingdom in the
future, her father sets up an arranged marriage for Elissa. Soon after he sends
her closest friends back to their family homes. Angered, Elissa leaves the
castle grounds and decides to stowaway on the ship carrying her best friend
Maya home. Unfortunately, Elissas new journey will send her to places far
beyond what she had imagined. With the prophecies mysterious guidance, Elissa
and her friends will discover a power that depends on them. Old enemies and
pirates will immerge to make the journey even more dangerous. With the world
coming to an end, can Elissa and her peculiar band of friends save it in time?
The ending was good, but it wasn’t like I thought
it would be. And since “Worlds Ends” is the last book of the entire trilogy, I
was happy with its overall close. At least there were no loose ends. Recommending
these books is a must for me.
