“Iron Fey - book 4; Iron Knight”

Author: Julia Kagawa

I've read all three books in the Iron Fey trilogy. But after reading the third book, I was distraught when the ending didn't finish off the story with a satisfying closure. Although, what had started out as a trilogy...had then become a series for the author, Julia Kagawa. The third book obviously needed more to proceed it, so she wrote a fourth book, "Iron Knight", completing the "Iron Fey" as a series. I was excited when it was announced to be released, because there was still hope for a better ending. When you've read and followed the same storyline for a while, you'd think they'd end with a magnificent bang.

Ashallayn' Darkmr Tallyn, fell in love with a half fey, half human, girl who became queen over the Iron Fey. Deadly as poison, the Iron Realms are un-survivable for Ash and all of the Summer and Winter Fey. To save his life, Megan banished Ash from her kingdom, but nothing can keep them apart. Ash, goes on a quest, seeking to change the course of his future forever. To gain a soul, and become a mortal. The pain of Iron would no longer scorch him, and he could live a peaceful life with Megan. With some old friends, and new friends along the way, Ash heads out to find the end of Never Never. The River of Dreams, Hobyahs, the Forgotten, and river monsters are only a few of the obstacles Ash and his unlikely group will face. Even if they make it to their destination alive, Ash has little to no chance of passing the tests that await him.

The ending was exceptional. Closing off the original three books, "Iron Knight" definitely left an impression. Although, I'm excited I accomplished in finishing this series,  I'd gladly re-read those four books all over again just for fun. "Iron Daughter", "Iron King", "Iron Queen", and "Iron Knight" are officially one of my favorite series. Julia Kagawa has such a way with putting a twist on the Fey and their myths. I truly enjoyed her works. The characters all have unique voices, and thoughts making them believable to me. If you are a, violent fantasy, dark Glamour, or strange creature kind of person...I'd recommend the "Iron Fey" series.
