I want to start off by mentioning the fact
that the 3rd book “The Youngest Templar; Orphan of destiny” has been
released. Yeah! I have already finished it, but my review on it will come later,
since I want to go in order.
Alright, book 2 in the “Youngest Templar”
series was very good. I just love the way Michael writes! Very adventurous,
dangerous, and sometimes you just want to laugh out loud. Robard (the king’s
archer) and Maryam (the Al Hashshashin warrior) don’t seem to get along at all. LOL! And their arguments are so
hilarious. Tristan gets plans and ideas on how to get out of near death
situations instantly, right off the top of his head. They are always second
guessing whether or not it’s a good idea. I love stories with thrilling and
exciting events, which these books obviously have.
The story picks up after the extreme cliff
hanger in book one. After the storm, fifteen year old Tristan is washed up onto
the shore of France. He is now separated from Robard, Maryam and the little,
tag along, dog. Found by a band of French travelers, Tristan soon finds out
more of their predicament. The journey continues
with more suspense, when Tristan and all his friends find themselves running from,
not one, but two enemies! To make matters worse they get cornered in a fortress
with the enemies’ army surrounding them. This book is bound to keep you on your
toes with its’ strategized battles, narrow escapes and revealed secrets. Again,
not many twists or turns in the plot, but plenty of action, action and more
action.
WARNING: There is another cliff hanger!! Thank
goodness the third and final book has been released. I would definitely recommend this book,
especially if you have already read the first!
